Our Story

Established in the year 1912 at Union Street, Lurgan, Northern Ireland, the parent company is called WFB Baird & Company Ltd. named after the founder William Frederick Burgoyne Baird. His commitment to excellence and his vision of unparalleled craftsmanship started a legacy that has existed for more than a century and continues to grow even today.

Irish Heritage Linen

Crafting something that endures for over 100 years takes time and character. You'll find plenty of both in the people and history that make 'The Original Linen'.

Burgoyne is a brand owned by WFB Baird & Company (India) Pvt. Ltd., an over 112-year-old Irish company supplying Irish Linen to major high end designers, brands and retailers in USA, Europe and Asia like J.Crew, Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, Polo Ralph Lauren, etc.

From the makers of world’s finest Irish Linen, presenting a collection of premium linen apparel – Burgoyne Ireland.  Burgoyne - The Original Linen - represents fashion which is indulgent, individualistic and very modern.

Excellence Through Innovation

In 2016, Burgoyne launched SuperWhites™. It is the whitest linen fabric available in the market today. SuperWhites™ fabric retains its whiteness even after 20 washes making it a benchmark for the linen industry.

Launched in 2021, Uniwhites - Finest Irish Heritage Whites, retains its whiteness as bright as the first wear over multiple washes. The softness and richness of linen enriched with Burgoyne’s unique process makes for the brightest white ever known.  The Uniwhites collection, that stands for Perfection & Purity is our tribute to white, the color of peace and serenity.
